The only initial requirement is to opt the patient in to receive text messages.  The VersaSoft Messenger engine then takes over and does the rest of the work for you.  So it is almost 100% automated!  No more daily phone calls, so clinic staff can do what is more important, like taking care of the needs of the patients.

Yes, this is 100% possible.  If a patient responds to their appointment reminder text that they need to reschedule, you can respond back to them through our appointment book. You also have the ability to initiate your own text to a patient if you need to remind them of something. 

The text messages can be completely customized as long as they stay within the guidelines of HIPAA security and patient privacy laws.   Default text messages can be initially created with the clinic’s information to show what the text messages will look like before they are sent out to the patients.   

Once a patient confirms, a yellow circle with a black check mark will automatically appear on the patient’s scheduled appointment.  VersaSoft Messenger will automatically keep your appointment book up-to-date over the course of the day.  So there is no hassle to update or refresh the appointment book.

In addition, the text message reminders can also be customized to have the patient respond with a cancellation request if they are unable to make their appointment.  Again, VersaSoft Messenger will automatically update the appointment book to show any patient cancellations.

By default, text messages are sent out one day before the patient’s appointment.  This setting can be changed to, for example, the day before and the day of the patient’s appointment. It is all up to you and what you prefer.

Yes, birthday messages are included in the texting plan and are automatically sent out on a daily basis.   This is a great way to show patients that you are thinking of them on their special day.

The texting plan can be upgraded at anytime.  So if you are not sure how many texts you will be sending out, the plan can be upgraded with no penalty.   A texting plan can also be dropped to a lower plan once a full year has passed since signing the initial agreement. 

Each text over the monthly quota will be charged at a low price of 7 cents per text.  If the monthly quota is surpassed on a regular basis, then it is recommended that a higher plan is purchased.  But, it definitely is not required.
